Baby Laugh

So Logan laughed for the first time a few days ago and I have been trying ever since to get him to do it again- and today he did! A lot! I think he is finally ticklish around his neck and under his arms. So cute! John came home and had him laughing a little too.

So, I think John has found a job that fits his personality and skills.... with Penske. I am so proud of him that I just have to brag a little. He received a promotion 2-3 weeks ago, but he's still been going in early and doing part of his last position. Well- I guess before John took the leasing sales position- his district ranked 50th in terms of having new contacts sign a lease right away. Guess what- the last two weeks- they ranked NUMBER ONE! And one of John's big bosses- the Vice President over the southwest area came to Vegas and spent the day with John. He had John get on a special conference call for people that were considered "shining stars"... and in a meeting with other leasing sales reps- John got pointed out as being the guy to watch. I think it really made John feel good that his hard work was paying off- and was being recognized and appreciated.

John is such a great "people person" that I always thought he would be comfortable in a sales-type job. And with this job every day is different- which is something that John really likes (and needs!) Way to go hubba hubby!

Anaheim!

So. I went to Anaheim for a Heritage Makers Convention and it was so much fun. Logan came with me and was such a good baby- he absolutely loved this little sling I bought right before the trip. Most people thought it was some kind of bag, then they would look over and say, "Oh my gosh-there's a baby in there!" It was so fun.

The convention was awesome. I am so pumped up to go out and share the power of story with everyone! I just think Heritage Makers is the best company and our products are awesome.

After the convention we all went to Disneyland and took a HUGE group photo. We walked around, went on some rides.. ate some yummy food...

Next year our convention is right next to my home-- Las Vegas. And our annual company trip is to a resort in Mexico. I am going to earn a free trip for myself! Super duper fun!

Logan is 7 weeks old and 13+ pounds (talk about a big baby!) But he doesn't really look chubby (except for the double chin). He's just starting to really smile and we love it. He's such a good baby during the day, although come evening time he has a hard time settling down for bed. We usually end up holding all evening until he's into a really deep sleep and will let us put him down.

Kylee turns 5 on Sunday! Happy Happy Birthday!

The baby's here!

After months of waiting and a day of contractions- baby Logan finally arrived. Once I was at the hospital it went pretty quick- I arrived dilated to a 6 and 2 hours later he was born. I'm pretty tired right now since I didn't get a lot of sleep the first night or last night either. The girls absolutely love their new brother and want to hold him and touch him all the time. And John is just so excited to finally have his boy.

Swim time!

We've been taking the kids swimming a lot with it being so HOT. Plus, last summer they were both swimming- Kylee a lot and Alyssa a little. And- they both forgot. So we've been trying to do a lot of refreshing. Kylee's getting pretty daring now, swimming under rafts- going from one end to the other. Alyssa on the other hand won't even go a foot without me holding onto her hands! We'll keep working on it.

So, everyone else has a blog- I started to feel left out!

I guess this way everyone can see what an exciting life we are having!!

We just got back from Kylee's dance class. There's at least 15 little girls in her class all trying to do shuffle-tap in a circle. It's so cute and Kylee just loves to dance. Maybe next time I'll get a picture with her in her class.

Other news . . . my sister Jen found out she is having twin boys AND a girl! (at least if the ultrasoun
d proves to be correct). How exciting is that! As for me, I'm just having ONE boy. See my stomach here:

And Alyssa
LOVES puzzles- and is really good at them (hey- I can brag . . . it's my blog) Here she is with her favorite puzzles- and she doesn't even care that she's not fully dressed. What a cute kid!

Another bragging moment . .. I just finished my website- take a look:
www.StorybookPreserves.com Thanks to the Rio Salado Web Design class I took (well- basic HTML class). There are still a few things I want to tweak (like getting the pictures to load faster), but I'm happy with the overall look.
